Allow me to elucidate the allegory: We met outside the Cell venue. I remember it took me time to open the door to the venue as I had to arrange for the keys to be delivered. On that day, at her first-sight of me, she knew I was the one. Notwithstanding, the same way it took me time to open the physical door, it also took time for me to open the doorway to my heart. Actually, some point last year I even suspended any desire or thought to even get married. I decided to focus my heart solely on serving the Lord because rapture is too imminent. But it was in that very moment, when the Lord visited me, and incited a strong urge inside me to check-up on Maureen. By then Maureen and I had already been confidantes and congenial friends for two years. And, Oh Wise GOD! How He incredibly orchestrated our paths to converge over those years – it just had to be her! Maureen was in everything and anything I was involved with. Almost every outreach, project, WhatsApp group (e.t.c) I was in, she was there. In Shona we say, nemumvuri wacho, tsika nditsikewo na bhinda ndipinde 😂 (like my shadow, where I step, it steps, where I enter, it enters). The friendship was heeeeat, so much so that almost everybody thought there was a lovey-dovey sweet-something going on there. In fact, if you are reading this, most likely you were one of them 😅. Ladies and gentlemen, it's confirmed; it has happened… Pastor and Parents sealed it! We are getting married! Tatenda Nyadenga (We thank God)!
